The Coffee Academïcs Story

The Coffee Academïcs (TCA) was founded with the dream of providing the best specialty coffee, while also promoting learning and enthusiasm about coffee culture. In 2012, TCA opened up their first coffee shop in Hong Kong, but since then, they have continued to expand not only locally, but also in international markets like Singapore and China. TCA's coffee shops are known as some of the most beautiful coffee shops in the world thanks to spacious, unique and elegant designs. This helps attract a diverse and international client base, all joined together by a love of quality coffee. 

As an independent micro-roastery, TCA roasts all their specially-sourced coffee beans on-site in Hong Kong and then distributes them locally and abroad. This in-house approach is just one of the reasons why TCA's house blend coffee is ranked number one in Asia, while their coffee shops are continually ranked number one for specialty coffee in Hong Kong.

Solutions to The Coffee Academïcs’s Challenges

The Coffee Academïcs needs a flexible POS to boost operational efficiency

TCA needed a flexible POS that could help tackle a number of other issues. First they needed a POS that could integrate the databases of all stores for simpler inventory tracking. They also needed improved customer relationship management so that they could provide personalized and curated experiences to their customers. Finally, They needed a way to synchronize payments while having access to an integrated accounting system that was more powerful. 

The Coffee Academïcs opted to use Eats365 POS in conjunction with third-party integration

With Eats365 iPad POS system, The Coffee Academïcss was not only allowed to have a smoother interface for faster order-taking, but has also provided deep reporting and analytics while allowing for integration with other services to provide the most value at the lowest price. 

  • Eats365 POS works in unison with Passkit to create a tiered membership loyalty system for The Coffee Academïcss. Passkit's mobile app allows The Coffee Academïcss customers to sign in and spend via a digital pass to earn points and increase their tier level. The integration of a customer loyalty program benefits The Coffee Academïcss and its customers, alike. 
     
  • Eats365 POS also works in tandem with BBPOS to offer The Coffee Academïcss's customers multiple payment options for the smoothest experience possible. With all customer payments integrated, The Coffee Academïcss's staff do not need to enter payment amounts multiple times as everything is automated. 
     
  • To ensure that The Coffee Academïcs could manage all their accounts from a single system, Eats365 POS was paired with Xero accounting software. This combination ensured that TCA could reliably track accounting data from all their store locations through a single account, whenever and wherever they wanted.
